This is a nice 2nd model British Airborne/Commando Denison Smock which were manufactured late 1943 till 1945. The smock is showing traces of usage, one lower press stud is missing and one button on the left sleeve. There's a name written on the backside of the smock with probably a Canadian service number (a letter followed by a max of 6 numbers what is a Canadian wartime number). This smock is having its original label but unreadable. We can date this smock as an early 2nd model because there is no stitching in the middele of the smock (1943 or early 1944) The smock is fitted with Newey press studs, fully working zipper. Normal size probably 3.
The tail has fully intact. These smocks were used by British and Canadian Paratroopers, Commando's or regular army troops.
Great used smock, perfect for a combat display!
