The black berets were worn by the Royal (Canadian) Armoured Corps. All armoured personell wore the black coloured beret with the capbadge of the regiment they were in. This is Canadian manufactured beret what we not see very often for sale. The beret is clearly maker marked by Dorothea Hats Ltd. from Toronto, dated 1943 with size 6 3/4. The beret is in good used condition.
