This is a named MKIII combat helmet what belonged to a soldier in the Canadian Scottish Regiment soldierpart of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division. His army number K-66074 which is scratched in the back of the helmet is the army number of a soldier who served with the Canadian Scotttish Regiment. The decal is unfortunately not fully present and shows only fragments of it.
Shows normal traces of usage. Complete with a Green-Brown coloured helmet netting.
The liner is complete but the rubber cross-pad is loose and can not be used. The original chin strap is present. These MkIII helmets were first issued to British and Canadian troops who landed in Normandy on 6 June 1944, this was the newest military helmet (from 1943). These helmets were also worn by the Polish troops and the Princess Irene Brigade. These helmets model were only produced in England.
