Nice untouched British manufactured MkIII helmet also known as the 'Turtle helm'. This helmet was worn by a Canadian soldier, CANADA has been written on one side of the helmet and also the linder is Canadian manufacturing. The helmet shows normal traces of usage. Complete with its original chinstrap and liner. Liner is maker marked VMC and dated 1941 with a big size 7 3/4. These MkIII helmets were issued to British and Canadian troops who landed on Normandy, June 6 1944, and afterwards also to other troops. These helmets were also worn by the Polish troops and Prinses Irene Brigade. This type of helmet was only produced in United Kingdom.
Today the MkIII helmets are getting hard to find! Especially in this original condition.
