This is a WW2 Canadian manufactured Leather Jerkin. The leather jerkin was originally introduced in the British army during WW1 and was quite popular with the troops and its usage continued through out WW2. The Canadian manufactured leather jerkins are made in multi panel construction and are much better quality compared to the British leather jerkins.
This jerkin is in very good condition. The jerkin is made by Joseph Gould & Sons Ltd. and dated 1943. 
These leather jerkins were worn by the infantry, armoured troops and other troops.
