This is a WW2 Canadian manufactured Leather Jerkin. The leather jerkin was originally introduced in the British army during WW1 and was quite popular with the troops and its usage continued through out WW2. The Canadian manufactured leather jerkins are made in multi panel construction and are much better quality compared to the British leather jerkins.
This jerkin is in good used condition. The jerkin does not have a label present, this type of Canadian Jerkin was only produced during WW2. Normal medium size. The jerkin shows damage on the inside liner of the left shoulder, not visible when on mannequin.
These leather jerkins were worn by the infantry, armoured troops and other troops.
